MUSEUM RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. The Museo Dabawenyo requires that reservations be made either in writing or by telephone, preferably a week or at least a day in advance. You may contact Museo Dabawenyo at telefax 2226011.
2. The Museo Dabawenyo may be constrained to cancel without prior notice any reservation when problems occur such as brown-outs or rallies within the vicinity of the building.
3. The Museo Dabawenyo may accommodate as many students as possible at one time from one school, provided that prior arrangement or representation is made with the Museum Education, Research and Information Division.
4. The Museo Dabawenyo shall furnish available information/or brochures on the museum to enable the teachers to acquaint the students about the museum exhibition.
5. At least one hour should be allotted to the museum visit. The group must arrive at the museum not later than 11:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m. Museum hours are 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., daily, from Tuesday to Sunday, with noon breaks between 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
6. Teachers and parents or tour guide accompanying their respective classes are requested to maintain discipline and proper decorum among their students. Silence must be observed in the galleries and along the corridors.
7. Photographing museum objects may be allowed only with the written permission obtained from the Museum Director or Heads.
8. Smoking and eating are strictly prohibited inside the exhibition galleries, corridors and lobbies.
9. Stepping on pedestals, touching of artifacts and artworks are strictly prohibited.
10. Big bags, packages or boxes should preferably be left in the buses or deposited at the check-in counter on the left side of the main lobby with the guard.
11. The teachers/students who wish to buy souvenir items may be allowed inside the Museo Dabawenyo Souvenir Shop located at the 1st Floor lobby.


ANNOUNCEMENT
The Museo Dabawenyo is calling exhibition proposals for individual or group of artists for 2010-2011. Those interested are required to submit the following:
• Letter of intent to exhibit at the Museo, addressed to the Director
• Brief and clear summary of the project (its concept and how the exhibition space will be used;
• 10 digital photographs or slides in plastic sheets of sample works, labeled with artist's name, title and date of work, medium and size
• Biodata and
• Artist's statement
We can provide upon request a copy of the application form.Please send the set of requirements listed above to Proposals 2010-2011, Museo Dabawenyo, A. Pichon cor. C.M. Recto Sts., Davao City. Deadline for submission of application is on 30 November 2009. For more information please call at (082) 222-6011.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. All the videos were already winners in their own right and we stick to the judegs' decision as well as the availability of funds. The guidelines only says we will choose the Grand Prize but the judges decided to give special award for best interpretation of Tayo'y Dabawenyo and Bahaghari Tayo. And I also suggest that maybe you can place a picture in your site to personify it. Thank you

maybe you can upload the winners and finalists of the salidabaw competition. As i observed, during the event, there are some videos deserve to win and be given citation, too. If you don't mind, thank you.
